Jesus Chooses His First Followers^(A)

¹⁶ When Jesus was walking by ·Lake Galilee [^Tthe Sea of Galilee], he saw Simon [^CPeter; cf. 3:16] and his brother Andrew ·throwing [casting] a net into the lake because they were fishermen. ¹⁷ Jesus said to them, “Come ·follow me [be my disciples], and I will ·make you [teach you how to] fish for people.”
